Learn about the signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, how to recognize the early warning signs, and the importance of acknowledging those warning signs. Gen Z (those born between 1997 and 2012) are about 42% to 23% more likely to admit to feelings like hopelessness and depression, compared to other generations. People in this age range also are 18% to 5% more likely to say they've contemplated self-harm or suicide. As this generation began to attend school, "red alert lockdown drills and school shootings were expected — and soon they would see too many members of their community lose battles to opioids and depression."
